Jean Ann Carrier Flaitz, 90, of La Jolla, California, passed away August 10, 2022.  She was born on February 5, 1932, to Ivy & Lyda Carrier, in Port Arthur, Texas. She married Jack Flaitz.

Mom, Granny and Aunt Jean, you maybe gone from our lives, but your memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Jean is survived by:  son George Flaitz; grandchildren, Tyler, Sierra & Savannah Flaitz; niece Sherry Davidson & husband Lonnie; nephews, Paul Sims & wife Kay and Steve Sims & wife Lissette.  Other family members:  Troy Davidson & wife Sonya and their children, Paige, Mitchell & wife Allie and son Banks; Todd Davidson & wife Michelle and their children, Chase & Caitlin; Derek Sims & wife Emily and son Levi; Dylan & Drew Sims; Christopher & Stephen Sims; Jacquelyn; and numerous families & friends.

Jean was preceded in death by, her parents and husband.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Kubena Funeral Home; with Visitation starting at 11 am. Pallbearers: Tyler Flaitz, Troy Davidson, Todd Davidson, Stephen Sims, Derek Sims, Dylan Sims and Drew Sims. Officiant: Pastor Patrick Melton. Memorials: Charity of one's choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
