Obituary

Mr. J.D. Ashley Jr., 78, of Sheridan, died Nov. 21, 2007. He was born Dec. 1, 1928 to J.D. & Ivy McFarland Ashley Sr. in Ganado. He married Theresa Morgan Ashley on Oct. 5, 1998 in Galveston. He was a practicing Baptist.

J.D. is survived by is wife Theresa of Sheridan, son John Charles Ashley of Shiner, daughter Vickie Ashley Buenano of Austin, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

J.D. was preceded in death by his 1st wife Mary Whitley Ashley on May 15, 1998; parents, brother Buford Ashley Sr., and sister-in-law Mildred Ashley.

Service: 10 am, Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 1 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Robert Nixon. Pallbearers: Charles, Campbell, Wesley Yow, John Yow, Buford Ashley, Steven Yow, and Travis Lumpkins. Memorials: The Heart Foundation. Burial: Cheetham Cemetery in Sheridan.
