Janet R. Brier, 81, of Hallettsville, passed away Jan. 19, 2011. She was born on Sept. 19, 1929 to William O. & Clara Waltersdorf Pohl in Hallettsville. She married John M. Brier on June 17, 1948 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Janet is survived by: her son Michael Brier & wife Joyce of Hallettsville, and 2 grandchildren, Trevor and Canden Brier of Hallettsville.

Janet was preceded in death by: her husband John; son John Anthony Brier; parents; and brother Richard Joe Pohl.

Funeral Mass Service: 1 pm, Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 3 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Tommy Chen. Pallbearers: Jim Fox, Richard Speyrer, Jill Perez, Tim Speyrer, Jenifer Foster, and Dustin Speyrer. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
