James W. Tesch Sr., 82, of Blessing, TX, passed away October 4, 2017. He was born on June 25, 1935 to Alfred F. & Lillie Rother Tesch Sr. in Vsetin, TX. He married Patricia Dvorak on March 1, 1954, at Vsetin Lutheran Church.

James is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia and large family. Children survived include four sons: James Tesch Jr. & his wife Ellen; Douglas Tesch & his wife Sandra; Rodney Tesch & his wife Jennifer; Karl Tesch, and daughter Connie Sawyer & her husband Chris. He also leaves 4 brothers Elroy, Alfred Jr., Paul, and Glenn Tesch; sister Emma Woytek; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth Tesch, daughter Karen Wilkerson, brother Bennie Tesch, and sister Elrose Kennedy.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Rev. Herb Beyer. Memorials: Charity of Your Choice. Burial: Geiger Cemetery.
