Irene Dusek Schulte, 87, of Hallettsville, passed away July 26, 2009. She was born on September 3, 1921 to Joe & Julia Trlica Dusek in Bila Hora, Texas. She married Winfred "Wink" Schulte on October 18, 1950 at Sacred Heart Rectory in Hallettsville. She was Baptized, Confirmed and member of Vsetin Czech Moravian Brethren Church. She was also a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge 4 of Hallettsville.

Irene attended the Bila Hora School through 8th grade, living on the farm with her parents. She worked for Weingardens and Appelt's Cafe during her life time.

Irene is survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by: her husband Wink; parents; 2 brothers, Eugene "Jock" and Felix Dusek; and sister Viola Elsie Melnar.

Service: 2 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Vsetin Czech Moravian Brethren Church. Visitation: 12 noon, Thursday, at Vsetin Czech Moravian Brethren Church. Pallbearers: Alton Sevcik, George Cervenka Jr., Otto Cervenka, Herald Frank Jr., Charles Sklar, and Edwin Vatsulik. Honorary Pallbearers: Herald Frank Sr., Guthrie Sklar, and Marvin Patek. Officiate: Rev. Henry Beseda. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
