Irene Couch, 83, of Hallettsville, passed away Tuesday, Mar. 2, 2010. She was born on Jan. 17, 1927 to Charlie & Hulda Busse Koerth in Hallettsville. She married Eugene F. Couch on August 10, 1946. They moved to Houston for over 40 years, before moving back to Hallettsville, where they owned a small ranch. She was a housewife who enjoyed shopping and gambling trips to Coushatta.

Irene is survived by: her children Jimmie and wife Francine, Dianne and Dolly, all of Hallettsville; sister Pearl Lee Ramenzind; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by; her husband Eugene, daughter Darlene, great granddaughter Noel, parents, and 5 brothers.

Visitation: 2 pm, Monday, March 8, 2010 at Kubena Funeral Home. Graveside Service: 1 pm, Tuesday, at Hallettsville City Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. Herb Beyer. Pallbearers: Darrell Boethel, Cheyenne Stehle, Dustin Couch, Cody Couch, Chris Hart, and Milton Mika. Memorials: Bluebonnet Youth Ranch or Hospice.
