She was born on June 11, 1916, in East Bernard, Texas to the late Engelbert and Wilamena Meier Fuchs. She was retired from Perry's Brothers Store in Taft, after 25 years as retail store manager.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Joan Graves of San Marcos, Texas, Annette McCrumb & husband Edward of Hallettsville, and Margaret Perkins of Taft; son Leonard Ladish of Taft; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: 3 brothers, Menard, Frank, and Raymond Fuchs of Sealy, Texas; 3 sisters, Josephine Orsak of Wallis, Texas, Katherine Barrett and Agnes Rusinek of Sealy; son-in-law Charles Graves; and daughter-in-law Ann Ladish.
