Henry was a veteran of WWII and received the American Theater Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, one Service Stripe, and one Overseas Service Bar.
Henry was a member and usher at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hallettsville. He was also a member of the V.FW. Post 6382, American Legion Post 230, and the Disabled Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Henry was engaged in ranching, truck driver for Hoffer's Trucking Co., and school bus driver for the Hallettsville Independent School District.
Henry is survived by; daughter Janet Duncan of Conroe, Texas; sister Gladys Motal of Seguin, Texas, and a niece LaFern Nance of Seguin.
Henry was preceded in death by: wife Anita; parents Willie "Bill" & Mary Konvicka Ulcak; 2-brothers, one at infancy, and Eddie Ulcak.
Service: 2 pm, Sunday, August 20, 2006 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 1 pm, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Herb Beyer. Burial: Breslau Cemetery. Memorials: Breslau Cemetery Association or Donor's Choice. Pallbearers: Herschel Schulte, Julius Pauler, Abe "Sonny" Adams, Billy Nance, Jay Pavlicek, and Carlyn Spies. Honorary Pallbearer: Lambert E. Pollok.
