Obituary
Henri Mae "Hank" Mertz, 95, of El Campo, passed away Feb. 3, 2014. She was born on May 24, 1918 to Jim & Fannie Herchek Parma in Yoakum. She married Hilton W. "Curly" Mertz on Sept. 10, 1940 in Hallettsville. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville.
Henri is survived by: 2 daughters, Carolyn Townsend & husband Kenneth of El Campo, and Debbie Polasek & husband Dalton of Houston; sister Lillian Haas of Schulenburg; 2 grandchildren, Meredith Arsuaga and Paige Polasek; and 2 great grandchildren, Asher & Parker Arsuaga.
Henri was preceded in death by: her husband Hilton; parents; 2 sisters, Edith Rebecek and Evelyn Zaskoda; and brother Marcus Parma.
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville.
Visitation: 12 noon, Friday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Officiant: Rev. Andrew Taylor.
Pallbearers: Gavino Arsuaga, Charles Franta, Alan Haas, Leon Haas, Mark Rebecek and Wayne Zaskoda.
Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
