Hedwig Ann Pustejovsky (Hedy), of Hallettsville, passed to the sheltering arms of our Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2008. She was born on Nov. 8, 1927 to Julius & Annie Konvicka Pustejovsky in Lavaca County, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Hedy was one of those special people who always wanted to help others. She started her nursing career at Renger Memorial Hospital in the early fifties and continued serving others till her retirement, and then she took care of her family who she loved dearly.

Hedy is survived by: 2 brothers, Fred Pustejovsky Sr. of Hallettsville, and Bohumir Pustejovsky & wife Mary Ann of Hallettsville; sister Theresa Steffek of Hallettsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hedy was preceded in death by: parents; 2 brothers, Ludwig E. Pustejovsky and Julius Pustejovsky; and 2 sisters, Vlasta and Justina Pustejovsky.

Service: 10 am, Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 12 noon, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 9:30 am, Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Honorary Pallbearers: all Nieces and Nephews. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: The Food Pantry, Sacred Heart Church, or Donor's Choice.
