IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hazel M.
Prichard
December 1, 1939 – September 18, 2018
Hazel M. Prichard, 78, of Sheridan, TX, passed away Sept. 18, 2018. She was born on Dec. 1, 1939 to Hugo & Ludwine Marbach Pahmiyer in Victoria, TX. She was married to Gene Prichard for 25 years, and she and Allen Brogger celebrated 30 years of marriage together on July 15, 2018. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.
Hazel always loved life and people. She had the gift of sharing a smile with everyone she met. She was always full of life and enjoyed life to its fullest. During her marriage to Gene Prichard, a lot of their time was spent at the farm and raising her three sons. She loved sports and was very involved in her children's school and sporting events including baseball and track and field events; while all the time, juggling a home, college classes and eventually a career as a teacher for 25 years in Victoria. They also enjoyed numerous camping, hunting and fishing trips with family and friends.
After her husband Gene passed away, she fell in love again and she and Allen have enjoyed love and life together, celebrating it with one another and their families. After retirement, they moved to Sheridan and focused on what was most important to them – family, friends, fishing, football, forty-two dominoes, etc. Hazel loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed it when they would come over and go fishing, play games, play guitars/music or just visit. She loved a game of "42" and taught the game to practically every one of her family members down to the youngest of the great-grandchildren. Hazel was also an avid fan of all the things her grandkids were involved in and attended every football, baseball, rodeo, recital, baptism or birthday event that she could. There is no way to express the love she showered on every grandchild and great-grandchild she had – they made her joy complete.
Hazel was our gift from God and now she is celebrating with her Savior. If you are here with us today – that means she touched your life as well and she would be honored by your presence. She would encourage you to go home and hug your loved ones, because life is too short.
