Obituary

Mr. Harvey J. Pavliska Sr., 80, of Hallettsville, died May 14, 2007. He was born on March 9 1927 to John A. & Martha Frazer Pavliska Sr. in Koerth, Texas. He married Mary Ann Bolom on April 27, 1965 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. He was a member of the America Legion, V.F.W., Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Church, and veteran of WWII as a member of an antiaircraft artillery gun crew in Panama. He retired from Novosad's Meat Market.

Harvey is survived by: wife Mary Ann; son Harvey J. Pavliska Jr. & wife Cheryl of Hallettsville; 2 daughters, Theresa Harbin & husband Donald of Hallettsville, and Cynthia Tomek & husband David of Hallettsville; 2 brothers, Victor J. Pavliska of Koerth, and John A. Pavliska of Hallettsville; sister Helen Marie Bender of El Campo; and 8 grandchildren, Eric Harbin, Christopher Harbin, Ashley Harbin, Kristin Pavliska, Klayton Pavliska, Dylan Tomek, Jessica Tomek, and Ty Tomek.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and sister at infancy.

Service: 2 pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: Noon, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 1:30 pm, Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers: Eric Harbin, Chris Harbin, Bill Morris, Gary Pavliska, John Pavliska III, Tim Pavliska, Francis Pavliska, and Mike Pavliska. Honorary Pallbearers (grandchildren): Ashley Harbin, Kristin Pavliska, Klayton Pavliska, Dylan Tomek, Jessica Tomek, and Ty Tomek. Burial: Koerth Catholic Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. Bryan Heyer.
