Harry M. Hruzek, 78, of Hallettsville passed away Wednesday August 24, 2011. He was born October 7, 1932 in Hallettsville to Henry and Annie Cathrine Prasek Hruzek. Harry was a 1954 graduate of The University of Texas School of Pharmacy. Upon graduation he followed in his father's footsteps by taking over the family business on the square in Hallettsville, "Hruzek's Pharmacy". He continued to dedicate his life to serve the community in Lavaca and surrounding counties as a pharmacist until recently. On his days off he enjoyed making trips to his farm to check on his cattle. Harry was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3rd and 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a member of the American Legion. Harry is survived by his three children: Cheryl Pavliska & husband Harvey of Hallettsville; Harry (Bubba) Hruzek & wife Tammie of San Marcos; and David Hruzek & wife Shannon of Leander; four grandchildren: Kristin and Klayton Pavliska, Dylan and Avery Hruzek; and his sister Henri Mae Patek and husband Chuck.

Funeral Mass Service : 10 am, Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 3 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home; 9:30 am Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Harry (Bubba) Hruzek, David Hruzek, Harvey Pavliska, Klayton Pavliska, Dylan Hruzek, Mike Patek and Jeremy Waters. Honorary Pallbearers : Kristin Pavliska, Avery Hruzek, Victor Roeber, Frankie Zaruba, Daniel Strauss, and Laddie Bucek. Memorials (In Lieu of Flowers): Sacred Heart Catholic Church, American Lung Association, and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Hallettsville, Texas.
