“Bunny” Timm Jr.
February 16, 1932 – July 18, 2011
Bunny talked of his father teaching him the value of a strong work ethic which helped him build a successful cotton business that he started with his brother-in-law, Francis Mikulenka, and friend Jake Sandelovic. Bunny was a people person and loved to visit with his friends over coffee or a beer. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed "camp nights". Later in life, Bunny expanded his hunting passion with the Timm Ranch in Sonora. He enjoyed his time there with family and friends sharing deer and rattlesnake stories.
Bunny is survived by: his wife Julia; 2 daughters, Sherry & husband John Henke of Hallettsville, and Landra & husband Donald Immenhauser of Yoakum; 2 sons, Keevan & wife Vanessa of Bellville, and David & wife Susan of Midland; 9 grandchildren, Melissa Brunton, John G. "Scooter" Henke, Carrie Renken, Brandi Henke-Pohl, Kyle Timm, Chris Immenhauser, Francie Immenhauser, Austin Timm, and Hunter Timm; 9 great grandchildren, Savannah Richter, Landen Henke, Paxton Henke, Hayden Brunton, Molly Brunton, Reagan Renken, Rachel Renken, Adalyn Pohl, and Jocelyn Immenhauser; brother Harold Gene Timm of Hallettsville; 3 sisters, Elsie Marie Powell of College Station, Virginia Lee Mikulenka of Rockport, and Alma Joyce "Sweet" Hrncir of Hallettsville; and sister-in-law Hazel Timm.
Bunny was preceded in death by: his parents; grandson Daniel Wade Immenhauser, 2 brothers, Forrest W. Timm Sr. and Frank Timm; and 2 sisters, Nannie Jane Moore and Bonnie Rae Buske.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, July 22, 2011, at First United Methodist Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 3 pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home; with the family receiving visitors from 5 pm to 7 pm. Officiate: Rev. Lundy Hooten. Pallbearers: Kyle Timm, Austin Timm, Hunter Timm, John "Scooter" Henke, John Henke Jr., Landen Henke, Donnie Immenhauser, Dennis E. Matula, and Rick Schilling. Honorary Pallbearers: Franklin Jahn, Jimmy Bucek, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): First United Methodist Church, or Donor's Choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
