Obituary

Ms Gussie Helen Kainer, 92, of Houston, went to be with the Lord at 6:40 am, Friday, the 21 of March 2008. She was born in Hallettsville, Texas, to Anton & Mary Otto Kainer, the last surviving member of 9 children born to that union. She was a member to Corpus Christi Catholic church for over 30 years, and a Life Time Member of S.P.J.S.T.

Gussie profession and love was being a nurse. She started at Renger Hospital, then moved to Houston were she worked for 38 years. She loved taking care of people. She also loved to do cross word puzzles, read, and loved the Houston Astros. She died with great peace.

Gussie is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Gussie was preceded in death by: parents; 6 sisters, Marie Kainer, Martha Kuhn, Albina Bollom, Celia Capak, Tonie Sitka, and Lillian Sassin; and 3 brothers, Emil, Richard, and Alphonse Kainer.

Service: 11:30 am, Monday, March 24, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 9:30 am, Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rosary: 11 am, Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. Michael Rother. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
