Gregory "Greg" R. Lanier Sr., 60, passed away at home on Monday, September 8, 2014. He was born on September 3, 1954 in Miami, FL, and raised in New Orleans. Greg called Houston and specifically his beloved "Two Moon Ranch" in Hallettsville, TX, his home.

Greg was employed by Rowan Companies, Inc., and had recently spent the last four years in Ulsan, South Korea, managing software quality assurance for deep water drill ships.

Greg was an avid reader, sportsman, wonderful husband, father and son. Especially near to his heart were his beloved animal companions.

Greg leaves one son, Gregory Randall Lanier Jr., wife Kari, and granddaughter Ava of Merrimack, NH and his dear mother Marion Dominic of Hallettsville, Texas. Greg is survived by his wife and best friend of 35 years, Patricia M. Lanier, devoted to one another and their ever-expanding pack, they loved each other unconditionally and with deep respect.
