Grace was an avid homemaker, gardener, and recently retired from Fort Bend ISD with 25 years of service earned.
Grace deeply loved her precious husband James of 43 years, cherished her 3 children and 4 grandchildren, and enjoyed most of her time, visiting with them at their family ranch in Hallettsville on the weekends.
Grace is survived by her husband James; 2 sons, David James Liska and Daughter-in-law Ellen of Katy, and Michael Anthony Liska of Sugar Land; daughter Susanne Marie Minks and son-in-law David of East Bernard; 4 grandchildren, Joseph and Elizabeth Liska, and Jacob and Luke Minks; brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Margaret Kallus of Hallettsville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Edwin and Charlotte Liska of League City
Grace was preceded in death by her parents Joe P. and Wilhemina Steffek Kallus, and infant brother Leroy.
Grace will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends; she devoted herself to her family in comforting them through many difficult times. We Love You MaMa…..James, David, Mike, Susanne, Ellen, David, Joseph, Elizabeth, Jacob, Luke and Allyson.
Service: 11 am, Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 2 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 10:30 am, Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Larry Kallus, Henry Kallus Jr., Michael Klotz, Robert Steffek, Albert Kallus, and George Kramer. Honorary Pallbearers: Joyce Janak, Ellen Stary, Josephine Klotz, Bernadette Kramer, and Margaret Kallus. Memorials: Sacred Heart School or Donor's Choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
