Glenn Eugene Rabel, 52, of Hallettsville, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at University Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on March 9, 1962 in Houston, to Marvin & Lillian Cernoch Rabel. He was a member of KJT #6 of Dubina, S.P.J.S.T., and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.

Glenn graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, Class of 1981. He worked as a machinist until his illness in 1992. Glenn struggled with kidney disease for many years, he had a kidney transplant and did well until 2 years ago.

Glenn was a county person, love animals, especially his pugs, Haley & Norton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and country life.

Glenn is survived by: his parents Marvin & Lillian Rabel of Hallettsville; niece Ashley Lores & husband Ricky, and their children, Roxy & Reya; and friend Rita Pineda and her daughter Star.

Glenn was preceded in death by: brother Stacey E. Rabel; and grandparents, Joe & Mary Rabel, and Albert & Victoria Cernoch.

Funeral Mass Service: 11 am, Monday, March 31, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 10:30 am, Monday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Darrell Rabel, Donald Rabel, Willie Rainosek, David Rainosek, Ricky Demel, and Darrell Symmank. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Charity of Your Choice. Entombment: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
