Glenn Preston Persons 75, of Weimar, Texas passed away on July 15, 2024.  He was known to those around him as Glenn, Dad, Grandpa, and Uncle Glenn.  He was born on December 24, 1948, in Houston, Texas to the late Kellie Elmo Persons and late Margie Schilhab.

Glenn grew up with 1 brother and 2 sisters in Houston.  He spent most of his summers with his Grandma and Grandpa Schilhab in Sheridan, Texas.

During Glenn's younger days he was a heck of a baseball player, bull rider, welder, and later in life was a truck driver.  He loved watching the Astros.

Glenn never met a stranger.  He loved to tell stories.  You knew it was going to be a good one if it started off, "Let me tell you bout this one ole boy…."

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Robin Persons and one sister Ramona Persons Armbruster.

Glenn is survived by his brother Fred Persons (Wife Michelle) and sister Debbie Simmons- Davis.   His daughter Shannon Cook (husband Ashley) and his son Preston Persons (wife Julie).  He is survived by his grandchildren Ian Jones, Conner Jones, Chase Jones, Jospeh Jones, Emily Persons and Preston Grant Persons.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Service :  will be Monday, July 22, 2024, at 10:30 am at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville with Visitation starting at 9 am. Burial :  Salem Cemetery in Ezzell, Texas. Officiant : Brother Johnny Teague.
