Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She cherished her time with her family. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting dolls. She had a doll shop in Houston where she worked for many years. Gladys had a tender heart and always thought of others before herself. She was loved by all and will be missed greatly!
Gladys is survived by: husband George; 3 sons, Vance Peterson & wife Tabitha of Sealy, Scott Peterson & wife Heather of Katy, and Todd Peterson & wife Robyn of Katy; 3 sisters, Irene Rutledge of Hallettsville, Velma Sargent of San Antonio, and Cymbeline Meyer of Victoria; and 5 grandchildren, Peyton, Preston, Lauren, Richard, and Caitlyn Peterson.
Gladys was preceded in death by: parents; 2 brothers, Myron Douglas Sicko, and Velbert Sicko; and sister Dorothy Nell Hallowich.
Service: 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 9 am, Wednesday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Terry Horton. Pallbearers: Mark Bordelon, Phillip Cadman, Charles Coldewey, J.D. Redfield, Dee Rodgers, and David Sicko. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
