Mrs. Gladys Louise Jackson, 83, of Hallettsville, died Jan. 20, 2007. She was born on Aug. 5, 1923 to Clarence Reese & Fannie Bowen Benefield in Collinsville, AL. She married Jack C. Jackson on March 6, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV.

Gladys is survived by: son Robert E. Pickle of Livingston, TX; daughter Carole Jean Serafine of Houston; 2-sisters, Clara McKinney of Murchison, TX, and Mary Francis Driver of Golden Colorado; 5-grandchildren; 3-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Dennis & Ora Nell Satsky, and Aaron & Sheila Etzler.

Gladys was preceded in death by: husband Jack; parents; 3-brothers, Eldridge, Irby, and Clarence W. Benefield; and sister Lorraine O'Hara.

Service: 10am, Monday, Jan. 22, 2007 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Mr. Roy W. Benefield. Burial: Restland Memorial Park, in Yoakum. Pallbearers: Michael Serafine, Steven Reese, Dennis Satsky Sr., Dennis Satsky Jr., Aaron Etzler, and Robert Pickle Jr. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas, or American Cancer Society.
