Gary Lee Hodges, 58, of Hallettsville, passed away Dec. 12, 2011. He was born on Feb. 10, 1953 to Newell & Mary Parr Hodges in San Antonio. He married Joyce Benner on May 4, 1996 at Mossy Grove Methodist Church of Hallettsville. He was a member of Mossy Grove Methodist Church.

Gary is survived by: his wife Joyce; 2 sons, Robert and David Hodges of Hallettsville; daughter Pamela Searcy of Hallettsville; brother Kenny Hodges of Hallettsville; sister Maryln Patterson of Cuero; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

Gary was preceded in death by: his parents, and son Samuel Evans.

Funeral Service: 3 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Mossy Grove Methodist Church. Visitation: 2 pm, Wednesday at Mossy Grove Methodist Church. Officiates: Rev. Lundy Hooten and Rev. Kenny Hodges. Pallbearers: Justin Evans, Cecil Searcy, Randy Hodges, James Hodges, Dennis Hodges, and Darrell Parr. Memorials: Mossy Grove Cemetery Association. Burial: Mossy Grove Cemetery.
