Freddie E. Hoffer, 58, of San Antonio, formerly of Witting, died July 9, 2008. He was born on July 23, 1949 to Alfred W. & Janie Kocian Hoffer Sr. in Hallettsville. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Mary's Community near Hallettsville.

Freddie is survived by: 3 brothers, Alfred W. Hoffer of El Campo, Johnny Hoffer of Moulton, and James Hoffer of Witting; and sister Jane Anzualda of Witting.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Carl A. Hoffer and Charles R. Hoffer.

Service: 2 pm, Sunday, July 13, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation: 1 pm, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 1:30 pm, Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. Charles Sonnier. Pallbearers: Mark Hoffer, Donald Hoffer, Darrell Hoffer, Jeff Hoffer, Travis Hoffer, and Chad Alex. Burial: Koerth Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: The Rainbow House in San Antonio.
