September 22, 1928 – March 16, 2007
F.J. was called to serve his country on September 17, 1953. He served as a Sergeant in the Artillery and Guided Missile Center at Fort Sill, OK. He was honorably discharged from the US Army on September 16, 1955 receiving the National Defense Service and Good Conduct Medals.
F.J. relocated his family to Houston where he was employed by Borden Milk Company and retired as an Assistant Plant Superintendent after 32 years. He was known as the "buttermilk, egg nog man", especially during the holidays.
F.J. enjoyed gardening at his home in Houston and loved playing dominoes with his family. He looked forward to spending time with his beloved wife, Wilhelmina, of 55 years on their farm in Witting. He was a devoted husband and a loving, caring father.
F.J. is survived by: wife Wilhelmina of 55 years of Houston; son Charles Prasek of Houston; 3-daughters, Deborah Jackson of China, Texas, Sharon Divin & husband Patrick of Katy, and Donna Prasek of Houston; brother Tom Prasek of Moulton; sister Mary Technik of Hallettsville; 4-grandchildren, Jerry Jackson Jr., Christine Jackson, Ashley Divin, and Frankie Divin; and 2 great-grandsons, Bryce and Hunter.
F.J. was preceded in death by: parents Frank T. & Agnes Roznovsky Prasek; son-in-law Jerry Jackson Sr.; and sister Bernadette Konarik.
Service: 10am, Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, Texas. Visitation: 4pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville. Rosary: 7pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Burial: Vsetin Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Jerry Jackson Jr., Christine Jackson, Ashley Divin, Frankie Divin, Evon Janak, Donnie Belicek, Brain Belicek, Clayton Belicek, Naomi Bradicich, and Pamela Rodriguez. Memorials: Houston Hospice (1905 Holcomb Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030), Sacred Heart Catholic Church, or Vsetin Cemetery Association.
