IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Donald
Tuttle Sr.
November 7, 1930 – September 30, 2016
Frank Donald Tuttle, Sr., 85, of Fulshear, TX, made a graceful transition to eternal life on September 30, 2016. Celebrating a life well lived are his daughters Sheila Tuttle Carter and her husband, Doyle; Sherrie Tuttle Barker and her husband, Trent; and Frank Donald Tuttle and his wife, Robin. He will be warmly remembered and greatly missed by his beloved grandchildren – Ryan Carter, Anthony Carter, Brandi Barker, and Anniston Tuttle – and by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Theresa Melnar Tuttle, and by his sister, Ruth Tuttle Kutach.
Born November 7, 1930, in Orange, Texas, to Roscoe and Nora Tuttle. Frank graduated from the University of Texas and served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He then began a long and successful career in finance and retired from Albemarle as Vice President and Controller in 1995 in Baton Rouge, LA. He and Theresa were married in 1959, and with their growing family lived for many years in Baton Rouge, along with ten adventurous years in Europe, instilling in their children a lifelong love both of home and of travel. They retired to Fulshear, Texas.
In recent years, Frank and Theresa welcomed family and friends to the Double S & D Ranch in Morales, Texas, where they raised cattle and spent wonderful times exploring the ranch with their grandchildren – a tradition held near and dear by all. In the quiet of the evening, Frank enjoyed a good bottle of scotch and being surrounded by his lively and loving family & friends.
Frank will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, coach, mentor; a true friend; and an astute businessman who always brought a warm welcome and a twinkle in his blue eyes to every occasion and everyone he ever met.
