December 14, 1920 – April 6, 2009
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze service star for the New Georgia Group Operation, the Purple Heart Medal for injuries received during New Georgia Group Operation, and the Good Conduct Medal.
Frank is survived by brother Jaro Krenek of Hallettsville, as well as many nieces and nephews, and other extended family members.
Frank was preceded in death by: his parents; 3 brothers, Louis, Jerome, and Robert Krenek; and 4 sisters, Annie Prasek, Hermina Zabransky, Mary Michna, and Julia Satsky.
Special thanks to Dr. Barbara Conner, Stevens Nursing Center, Joyce Bludau and Brenda of Hospice of South Texas. Also special thanks to his brother Jaro for always caring for him and for his farm when he went to live at Stevens.
Frank leaves behind many loving family members who will miss him greatly until we are all together again.
Service: 10 am, Friday, April 10, 2009 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 2 pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: John Krenek, James Krenek, Dennis Satsky Sr., Johnny Michna, Bill Suplick, and Patrick Krenek. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Hospice of South Texas.
