Frances Lucy Sunseri McNally, 85, of Houston, passed away February 5, 2025.  She was more commonly referred to as either Mama by her five children, or Lucy by close family.

Mama's life was cut too soon for us at the age of 85.  She was born in New Orleans, LA to Lucy & Joseph Sunseri.  She married John McNally in 1957, and they subsequently had five children.

Mama was a hard-working mother (Southwestern Bell/AT&T) who raised five kids alone while working full-time and even took a 2nd job at one point.  Her retirement at 55 was more than well-deserved.  She was generous beyond her means but wanted to help any stranger that looked in need.  There wasn't a stray dog or cat that she didn't want to help.  Her favorite fun was playing keno at the casino and somehow, she had pretty good luck at it.  We will miss her so much but know she'll be protecting us from above.

Mama was preceded in death:  by her parents Lucy and Joseph Sunseri; her grandchild Michael Pless; her brothers and sister, Louie Sunseri, Johnny Sunseri and Mary Bonicard.

Mama is survived by:  her children, Sandra (Kevin) McMahan, Susan (Mike) Pless, Johnny (Lise) McNally, Sheila (Julius) Pavlica and Shirley (Michele) McNally; her grandchildren, Chloe Sunseri Rose, Brandon McMahan and Christopher McMahan; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Hutchison and Connie Bielefeld; and many cousins, nieces and nephews – and her beloved dog, Lady.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville with Visitation starting at 9 am. Officiant: Rev. Michael Rother. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Any animal welfare organization would be her wish. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
