May 15, 1911 – July 27, 2007
Frances was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, and had served at various capacities with the church and school PTA. She was a member of the local Garden Club and was active in Bible studies. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. She was a long time employee of the Lavaca County Tax Assessor/Collectors office. She married Jerry C. Staha, on Sept. 20, 1932 in Fayetteville.
Frances is survived by three sons, Richard Staha of El Campo, Monte Staha and wife Naomi Ann Staha of Gravette, Arkansas; Ronald Staha and wife Mariette Staha. Eight grandchildren, Kimberley Ann Wary, Kandice T. Crespo, Derek K. Staha, Shannon Fuechec, Shawn Wagner, Jessica Staha Mayfield, Justin Staha, and Jared Staha. Nine great grandchildren, Megan, Nickolas and Zackary Wary, Blaine and Tate Fuechec, Gates and Trace Wagner, and Alexander and Christopher Crespo.
Frances was proceeded in death by her parents, one sister, her husband, and a daughter-in-law Gaynelle Staha.
Service: 10 am, Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 12 Noon, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Derek K. Staha of Houston, Justin Staha of Portland, Oregon; Jared Staha of Panama City, Panama; Todd Fuechec of El Campo, Daniel Holub of El Campo, and Glen Holub of Schulenburg. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Sacred Heart Catholic School, Hospice of South Texas, or Charity of Your Choice.
