Frances Marie Moore, 89, of Shiner, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024.  She was born on April 1, on Easter Sunday, 1934, in Hallettsville TX, to Adolph & Emma Mikulenka Capak.  She attended her early school years at Breslau and later years at Hallettsville High School.  She was a Catholic and a lifelong member of KJZT and Catholic Daughters of America.  On February 4, 1951, she married Billy Moore.  Until Billy's passing on January 13, 2013, Frances and Billy celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Frances was a loving homemaker and worked hard in raising their three children and working at her job as a Frame Stylist at Texas State Optical for many years in Rosenberg.  They moved to Yoakum in 1970 where she worked for the City of Yoakum until her retirement.

Frances was a great cook and gardener and loved canning pickles and jellies.  She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and made numerous quilts and afghans for her kids and grandkids.  She was an avid Astros fan.  She also truly loved her trips to Las Vegas and the Coushatta Casino, her final trip being in December 2023.

Frances was preceded in death by; her parents, husband, younger sister Genevieve, son Dr. Michael E. Moore and grandson Stephen Fox.

Frances is survived by:  her  daughters, Kathy Milyasevich (Joe) of New Braunfels and Teresa Malinek (Sid) of Indianola; daughter-in-law Carrie Moore Manna (John) of Corpus Christi; 6 grandchildren, Tracy Skinner of Brazoria, Stacy Chesser (Blaine) of Brazoria, Greg Stoute of Carencro, Louisiana, A.J. Hoffman (Annie) of Henderson Nevada, Heather Collins (Maxwell) of Shiner, Austin Moore of Corpus Christi, and Emma Moore of Corpus Christi; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a dear friend Glynn Myers; and her caregiver(s) Denise Henke and staff at Personalized Care in Shiner.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: will be from 3 pm to 5 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: grandson Austin Moore and great grandsons Logan and Carson Skinner, Dylan and Colby Douget, Cory Fox and Phillip Broussard. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Hospice of South Texas. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Hallettsville.
