Evelyn Theresia Pavliska, 89, of Hallettsville, passed away July 5, 2019. She was born on May 5, 1930 to John & Theresia Sciba Chovanetz in the St. Mary's Community. She married John A. Pavliska Jr. on February 23, 1949, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. She was a member of KJZT, Catholic Daughters of Americas, Sacred Heart Church Choir and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Evelyn is survived by: 2 sons, John Pavliska III & wife Susan of Houston, and Tim Pavliska of Houston; daughter Milissa Zamora & husband Mike of Inez; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by: husband John; parents; 2 daughters, Melanie Rose Pavliska and Stephanie Martha Pavliska; 3 brothers, Alfred, Fred and Edwin Chovanetz; and 3 sisters, Lillie Grahmann, Agnes Chovanetz and Annie Chovanetz.

Funeral Mass Service : 11:30 am, Monday, July 8, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home; with the Rosary starting at 6 pm. Pallbearers: Frank Chovanetz, Fred Chovanetz, Warren Migura, Wayne Migura, Wesley Migura and Neil Zamora. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic School, Sacred Heart Music Fund or Donor's choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
