Evelyn Kresta, 90, of Hallettsville, passed away February 20, 2024.  She was born on April 14, 1933, to Matus F. & Victoria Mladenka Cada, in Lavaca County, TX.  She grew up in Moravia, LaGrange and El Campo, TX.  She married Victor E. Kresta on October 3, 1949, in Moravia, TX.

Evelyn is survived by:  2 daughters, Georgie Herman (Joe) and Linda Pohl (Johnny); 3 grandchildren, Charlotte Starkey, Connie Jaster (Floyd Jr.) and Randy Pohl; 6 great grandchildren, Cartlin Ratley, Cody Starkey, Floyd Jaster III, Colby Jaster, Logan Pohl and Jaina Pohl; and 3 great great grandchildren, Leah Ratley, Everlee Starkey and Fallon Starkey.  She also leaves behind her neighbors of the Charlottenburg Community, who visited her regularly and showed her such love.

Evelyn was preceded in death by; husband Victor, his parents, daughter Patricia Anderson, son-in-law Bob Anderson and grandson J.J. Pohl.

Funeral Mass Service: 10:30 am, Saturday, February 24, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 9 am; Rosary starting at 10 am. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Cody Starkey, James Orsak, Randy Pohl, Ben Kresta, A.J. Pohl and Floyd Jaster III. Memorials: St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hospice of South Texas or donor's choice. Burial: St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Koerth, TX.
