Thoughts by Her Granddaughter Krystal White
G-godly role model
A-amazing woman
M-my hero
To come up with one favorite memory is nearly impossible. Gam has always been my security blanket when it comes to me getting in trouble from my parents. According to Papa, Dustin and I were born under the itch signs. With that said, which says enough, as a child I would never sit still and still to this day I have not heard the end of it. I believe the year was 1991 give or take a year. Gam and Papa went to Fort Sill, Oklahoma to celebrate Jay's graduation from Army boot camp. The day was long from the ceremony, traveling up to the small mountain tops, to even visiting Geronimo's museum of artifacts. When the long day came to a conclusion, we tucked Gam and Papa tightly into their hotel bed for a night of comfort and relaxation to watch the Andy Griffith Show. I had the great idea to go and be with Gam and Papa and embrace their company. Like I said they were REAL comfortable and relaxed and here I come. I start doing cart wheels and tumbles off the bed in the direction of the TV. Low and behold there was no electricity meaning NO Andy Griffith. I hurriedly scurried to tuck my self under the covers by Gam and told her to hide me from my Father. Soon enough there was a knock at the door and my Dad comes in automatically asking where I was. I had not only knocked out power in their room but half of the hotels as well. He knew exactly where I was from the small whimper from beneath the covers. Gam gently pulled the cover away from me and said" Krystal, I am sorry, I can't help you on this one." So there you have it. A Grandma whose heart for her grandchildren was bigger than anything in this World.
