Evelyn Marie Holt, 95, of Sheridan, passed away February 5, 2025.  She was born on October 1, 1929, to Joe Lee & Rosalie Mladenka Brocker, in Hallettsville, TX.  She married Tommy Cecil Holt Sr. on September 1, 1946, in Hallettsville.

Evelyn was preceded in death by; her parents, brothers, Joe Lee Jr (Doug) Brocker and Jerry Brocker, first husband Tommy Holt Sr., second husband Jodie Goble, daughter Elaine Dromgoole and granddaughter Lisa Lynn Dromgoole, son Doug Holt and Grandson Coby Holt.

Evelyn is survived by:  son Tommy Holt Jr & wife Mary Jo; daughter-in-law Judy Holt; grandchildren, Jackie Dromgoole (Jeff Lewis), Stephanie Swan (Kyle Swan), Diane Halepeska (Ryan Halepeska), Shonna Holt, Dusty Holt and Dusty Jackson.

Evelyn also raised her two nieces, Glenna Sides and the late Sandy Brocker and her nephew Buddy Brocker & wife Kim.  She also leaves behind many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren which she cherished.

Evelyn was affectionately known as "Granny" by all who loved her and throughout the Sheridan community.  Granny was famous for always having a full bowl of candy and bubble gum and various homemade baked goods for everyone who came to her door.

Graveside Service: 10 am, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Cheetham Cemetery in Sheridan. Pallbearers: Chris Brocker, Justin Oakes, Jalen Parsons, Ryan Halepeska, Kyle Swan and Jeff Lewis.
