Eula Raye Cutler (known to family and friends as Raye Cutler) 88, of Hallettsville, passed away August 9, 2017. She was born on September 10, 1928 to Edythe and Mody Selph in Sublime, TX. On May 21, 1946, she married Thelston Davied Moseley of Sheridan, TX. Three children were born to this union, Daivd, Loal and Gloria.
On June 5, 2005, she married Clark Cutler (known to family and friends as Knobby Cutler) at the "Little Brown Church in the Vale", at Nashua, Iowa. Before the declining of her health and eye sight, she enjoyed working in the yard making it beautiful. She had a green thumb as one would say. She could grow the most beautiful flowers. She enjoyed watching her favorite football team, Washington Red Skins. She also enjoyed Bluegrass Music and traveling to see their performances.
The family would like to thank the providers that came to the house to take care of her before she entered the nursing home. We also thank Williamsburg House and Stevens Nursing Home for the care and love of our mother. We also thank Hospice of South Texas for the love and care they provided. To family and friends, thank you for the love and support you gave us.
Eula is survived by: her 2 nd husband Clark H. Cutler; 2 daughters, Lola Pustejovsky & husband Bubba of Hallettsville, and Gloria Scott & husband Stephen of Sublime; she raised two grandchildren, Jeffrey Moseley and Nicole "Nikki" Asbell; step-son Mark Cutler & wife Regan of Victoria; 3 step-daughters, Hazel Calhoun & husband Wayne of Victoria, Roxann Bacon & husband Robert of Seguin, and Kathy Fernandez & husband Andrew of Sugarland; 2 sisters-in-law, Eloise Creek of San Antonio, and Violet Peterson of Harlingen; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Eula was preceded in death by: 1 st husband T.D. Moseley; parents; 2 sons, 1 at infancy and David Mosely; and brother Wallace Lott Selph.
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 11 am, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Pastor Henry Learn. Pallbearers: Seth Westberry, Austin Kidder, Jason Scott, Jeff Moseley, and Lance Vanek. Honorary Pallbearers: Bubba Pustejovsky and Stephen Scott. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): any animal shelter organization. Burial: Willow Creek Cemetery, Sublime, TX.
