Obituary

Mr. Eugene P. Bujnoch, 83, of Hallettsville, formerly of Houston, died May 1, 2006. He is survived by wife Helen Pekar Bujnoch, married June 14, 1948 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Sweet Home, Texas; son Eugene Bujnoch & wife Lisa of Katy; daughter Cynthia Harper & husband Royce of Houston; brother Jim Bujnoch of Houston; sister Dorothy Svetlik of Hallettsville; 4-grandchildren Brent Alan Harper, Jenna Lynne Harper, Caitlin Elise Bujnoch, and Robert Zachary Bujnoch; and great-grandchild Jacquelyn Renee Harper.

Eugene was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Koerth, Texas; American Legion; the Holy Name Society; and life time member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of WWII; and received the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Medal, Victory Medal, and Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal.

He is preceded in death by: Parents Jim & Adella Boehm Bujnoch; 2-sisters Gertrude Lawrence and Valerie Harbus.

Service; 10am, Thursday, May 4, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Koerth, Texas. Visitation; Noon, Wednesday, and a 7pm Wake service at the Kubena Funeral Home. Celebrate: Rev. Charles Sonnier. Burial will be at Koerth Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brent Harper, Zack Bujnoch, Paul Pilat, Mitch Harbus, Mark Nichols, Jimmy Bujnoch, Lawrence Pekar, and Victor Svetlik Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Tony Mizera and Victor Schindler.
