Ernest J. Schulte, 82, of Hallettsville, passed away Dec. 8, 2011. He was born on June 29, 1929 to Ed & Sophie Neumann Schulte in Lavaca County, Texas. He married Dorothy Antrich on Oct. 3, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Ernest is survived by: his wife Dorothy; 2 daughters, Cyndi Smith & husband Rusty of Hallettsville, and Nancy Moore & husband Danny of Pearland; and 3 grandchildren, Russell Smith, Travis & Crystal Stang.

Ernest was preceded in death by: his parents, and brother Eddie Schulte Sr.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 4 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 9:30 am, Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Bryan Tesch, Chris Raabe, Charlie Raburn, Michael Jares, Michael McCain, and Steven Antrich. Honorary Pallbearers: Gilbert Mozisek, Glenn Janca, Bill Schulte, Tom Schulte, Joe Neskora, and Calvin Albrecht. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
