Ernest was a Veteran of Vietnam, and member of the American Legion. He enjoyed reading, yard & gardening, and collecting trinkets.

Ernest is survived by: son Matt Janak; 2 step-sons, Craig and Rex Owens; step-daughter Cindy Cedars; and sister Henrietta Jansky.

Ernest was preceded in death by: his wife Sidney Janak; parents; and sister Lillie Brenek.

Funeral Service: 5 pm, Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Sweet Home. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev Charles Sonnier. Pallbearers: Joe Herman, John Brewer, Michael Jansky, Robert Jansky, Thomas Kostelnik and Rex Owens. Burial: Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Donor's Choice.
