Ernest Cooper, 50, of Hallettsville, passed away July 3, 2015. He was born on December 10, 1964 to Nailer & Betty Jackson Cooper Sr. in Yoakum. He married Carissa King on May 21, 2011 at the Sublime Baptist Church. He was a member of the Sublime Baptist Church.

Ernest is survived by: his wife Carissa; son Johnathan Cooper & wife Hannah of San Antonio; daughter Christilyn Cooper & husband Johnny Zissa of Hallettsville; brother Tommy Cooper & wife Lisa of Hallettsville; 2 sisters, Bonnie Warren & husband Danny of Hallettsville and Ginger Dean & husband Neil of Eastland, TX; and 4 grandchildren.

Ernest was preceded in death by: daughter Marissa Cooper, parents, and brother Nailer Cooper Jr.

Funeral Service: 1 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville. Visitation: 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Brother Jeremy Kraatz. Pallbearers: Johnathan Cooper, Tommy Cooper, Danny Warren, Neil Dean, Johnny Zissa, Saxton Harbin, Colt Harbin, and Cody Cooper. Honorary pallbearers: All of Ernest's cousins. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Moulton City Cemetery.
