Elvera Laura Marburger Janak, 86, of Wied, TX, took her final peaceful breath on September 17, 2018. She was born on July 27, 1932 to Otto & Ella Kaelke Marburger in Breslau, TX. She was baptized on September 11, 1932 at Breslau Lutheran Church by Rev. A.H. Falkenberg. She attended school in Breslau and lived there until 1947 when her family moved to Moulton. She was confirmed March 28, 1948 in Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton by Rev. K. Windecker.

Elvera married Leon Janak on January 2nd, 1952 in Moulton. They were married for 38 wonderful years before his death. In 1954 they made their home in Point Comfort, Texas where Leon was employed with Alcoa. In 1977 they moved to their farm in the Wied area.

Elvera was faithful to her church, St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hallettsville and gave many hours volunteering at the Nursing Homes and on committees. She spent many enjoyable days waltzing with friends and dancing partners.

Elvera is survived by; numerous nieces & nephews; one brother-in-law; and 4 sisters-in-law.

Elvera was preceded in death by; her husband, parents, brother Otto Marburger, sister Ellenora Heidrich, and several nephews.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home; with a Prayer Service at 6 pm. Pallbearers: Daniel Matula, Sherry Ross, Michael Heidrich, Stanley Marburger, Gary Peters and Chris Janak. Officiant: Rev. Jared Stillion. Memorials: St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville or Donor's choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
