Obituary

Edward John Kadlecek Jr., of Hallettsville, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the age of 83. He was born on July 31, 1934 in Houston, Texas, to Edward John Kadlecek Sr. and Louise Anna Jakubec Kadlecek.

Ed worked 36 years in Civil Service Air Force as an Engineer, and retired in 2002. He was a musician at heart and was the leader of a German Band until he retired the band in 2012. After that, he became a member of the Shiner Hobo Band and absolutely loved playing his accordion with the Hobos. He also loved playing dominoes with his friends.

Ed was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, KJT, Hermann & Sons, and St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville. He always had many great stories to tell and loved life to the fullest.

Ed is survived by; his wife Marlene Kadlecek, daughter Marla Ferlet, granddaughter Jayde Ferlet all of Hallettsville, numerous cousins from the Temple and Houston area, and many close friends throughout Texas.

Ed was preceded in death by; his parents and sister Mary Louise Kadlecek Jamar.

Ed's wishes were to be cremated with a private burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
