Earline was a member of Catholic Daughters of Americas. She loved to spend time outdoors on the farm working cattle and fishing with her family on the Texas Gulf Coast. She cherished the time that she got to spend with her two grandsons.
She is survived by her sons Sean William Chovanetz of Austin, Aaron Thomas Chovanetz and wife Cori Lynn Chovanetz of Richmond, Texas, grandchildren Bryce James and Landon Thomas. Her sister Patricia Opela and husband Raymond of Hallettsville. Her mother-in-law Leona Chovanetz of Hallettsville. 2 brother and sister-in-laws Edwin Chovanetz and wife Tanya of Missouri City, Texas and Barry Chovanetz and wife Nel of Spring, Texas. 3 nephews Koda and Ricky Chovanetz and Mike Opela. 3 nieces Miyuki and Kate Chovanetz and Connie Steffek.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfons and Anastazie Janak and her husband William James Chovanetz.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of South Texas and to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, especially Dr. Sunil Patel and all of the staff at the Katy MD Anderson.
Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Raymond Opela, Eddie Chovanetz, Barry Chovanetz, Mike Opela, Harvey Steffek, and Henry De La Rosa. Honorary Pallbearers: Bryce and Landon Chovanetz. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Hospice of South Texas, or donor's choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
