Sity is survived by: 3 daughters, Carole Ann Whitley of San Antonio, Mary Kocian & husband Ray of Caldwell, and Dulcie Schulte & husband Randall of Columbus; daughter-in-law Cheryl Whitley of Hallettsville; sister Billie Dean Mirick of Dallas; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Kocian, Timothy Kocian, Kristie Geisler, Kimberley Langford, Blake Schulte, Crystal Whitley, Carly Whitley, and Matthew Mikes; 7 great grandchildren, Colson Geisler, Conner Geisler, Halle Kocian, Brody Kocian, John Brock Langford, Tenley Langford, and Kale Mikes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sity was preceded in death by: husband Ralph; son William "Bill" Whitley; parents; granddaughter Calamity Ann Whitley; and 3 sisters, one at infancy, Evelyn Gladys Turk, and Jo Eileen "Potsy" Harvey.
The Whitley family extends special thanks to: Mary Treptow, good friend and neighbor; Jo Lynn Harris, family friend; Ella Kocian, care giver and friend; Hayden Harvey "gang" – family; Employees of Whitley Lumber Yard, past and present; Staff & Employees of Stevens Nursing Home, Copperas Hollow Nursing Home, and St. Joseph Medical Center in Caldwell.
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Saturday, July 10, 2010, at First United Methodist Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Lundy Hooten. Pallbearers: Tim Kocian, Jason Geisler, Blake Schulte, James Harvey, Matthew Mikes, and David Harvey. Honorary Pallbearers: Ray Kocian, Edward Mirick, Randy Schulte, and Henry John Langford. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery. Memorials: Donor's choice.
