Dorothy Helen Sicko, 91, of Hallettsville, passed away June 20, 2017. She was born on February 20, 1926 to Julius & Matilda Konvicka Olsovsky in Lavaca County. She married Velbert Paul Sicko on February 3, 1951 in Hallettsville, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by son David Sicko of Sublime; 6 daughters Doris Wittenburg of Houston, Laura Stasa & husband Allen of Victoria, Helen Ricketts of Pearland, Florence Flannery & husband Mike of LaPorte, Cheryl Sommer & husband Darren of Hallettsville, and Michcelle Layton & husband Robert of Hallettsville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant brother George; 2 brothers Julius and Sylvine Olsovsky; and son in law James Wittenburg.

Funeral Mass Service: 11 am, Monday, June 26, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary at 6 pm. Pallbearers: Myron Sicko, Mike Flannery, Sean Ricketts, Blair Rowton, Robert Ferguson, and Rocardo Prado. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hospice of South Texas, or Donor's choice.
