Dorothy Cecelia Orsak, 88, of Hallettsville, passed away Jan. 1, 2017. She was born on Nov. 24, 1928 to Philip E. & Julia Rother Schlageter Sr. in Hallettsville. She married Ludvik C. Orsak on Sept. 12, 1950 in Schulenburg.

Dorothy is survived by: 2 sons, Michael Orsak & wife Pamela of Houston, and Richard Orsak of Hallettsville; brother Philip E. Schlageter Jr. & wife Patricia of Schulenburg; 3 grandchildren, Natalie Neff & husband Larry of Rescue, CA, Timothy Orsak & wife Debbie of Midland, TX, and Emily Hyde & husband Jason of Elizabethtown, KY; and 6 great grandchildren, William & Emily Neff, Samantha &Katherine Orsak, and Ava & Finley Hyde.

Dorothy was preceded in death by; husband, parents, and sister Magdalen Garmon.

Dorothy was a long time member of the Church of God and attended in both Houston and Victoria.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Kubena Funeral Home with visitation starting at 12 Noon. Officiant: Rev. Steve Moody. Pallbearers: Timothy Orsak (grandson), Ronnie Orsak (nephew), Gary Orsak (nephew), Jason Hyde, Patrick Garmon (nephew), and David Schlageter (nephew). Memorials: Lavaca Assistance Ministry Body, 418 South Ridge, Hallettsville, TX 77964. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
