Dorothy M. Nicholson , 82, of Hallettsville, passed away March 15, 2015. She was born on Nov. 16, 1932 to Steve & Alma Sklar Konarik. She married Walter E. Nicholson on June 12, 1951.

Dorothy enjoyed her flowers, gardening and cooking. She loved all of her dogs and cats, especially her current dog Put Put. Another passion of hers was feeding all of the many red birds and hummingbirds that would stop by her feeders. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by: her Husband Walter; 1 son Robert W. Nicholson & wife Jeanette of Hallettsville; 1 Grandchild Erin Kaufhold & husband Keith of Flatonia; 2 Great-Grandchildren Levi & Benjamin Kaufhold.

Dorothy was preceded in death by: her parents and Grandson Casey Nicholson.

Funeral Service : 2 pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Tuesday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Keith Kaufhold; David Sims; Leonard Sklar; Ross Hrncir; George Kramer; & Patrick Tobola. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery. Memorials : Donor's choice.
