Dorothy G. Jansky, 83, of Hallettsville, passed away April 2, 2017. She was born on January 2, 1934, to Emil V. & Wilhelmina Bartos Smolik in Lavaca County, TX. She married Joseph J. Jansky on November 17, 1952 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Koerth, TX. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas, KJZT, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Dorothy is survived by: 5 children, Jan Hanslik & husband Doug, Donna Kossa & husband Steve, David Jansky & wife Barbara, Kenneth Jansky & wife Karen, and Denise Henk & husband Chris; 4 grandsons, Jay Hanslik & wife Leslie, Eric Jansky & wife Amber, Brian Kossa & wife Leah, and Zachary Jansky & wife Holly; 5 granddaughters, Brandiss Hanslik-Escalante & husband Dino, Amanda Jasek & husband Josh, Courtney Yarborough & husband Donny, Heather Bujnoch & husband Josh, and Lauren Jansky; 13 great grandchildren; and foster brother Johnny Spaniel.

Dorothy was preceded in death by; Husband Joseph, parents, and sister at infancy.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Wednesday, at Kubena Funeral Home; with Rosary starting at 7 pm. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Jay Hanslik, Eric Jansky, Brian Kossa, Zachary Jansky, Josh Bujnoch, and Donny Yarborough. Honorary Pallbearers: Dino Escalante and Josh Jasek. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Crown Hospice of Victoria (1101 Salem Road #A, Victoria, TX 77904), or Donor's Choice. Burial: Koerth Catholic Cemetery.
