Doris Hamilton Leask, 79, of Hallettsville, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Detar Hospital in Victoria. She was born on August 29, 1933 to Spencer & Edna Marie Belisle Hamilton in Chatham Ontario, Canada. She married Robert I. Leask on December 2, 1982 in Las Cruces, NM.

Doris is survived by: 4 brothers, Patrick Hamilton & wife Pauline, Thomas Hamilton & wife Donna, John Hamilton, and Beverly Hamilton & wife Kelly; 2 sisters Dorthy Chepeka and Barbara Pavelson; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Also survived by niece Mary Ann Blair & husband Frank of Yorktown, and good friend Michelle Drozd & husband Leslie and their daughters Hailey, Hannah and Haven (who called her grandma Doris) of Hallettsville.

Doris was preceded in death by: her husband Robert; parents; 2 brothers, Richard and James Hamilton; 3 sisters, Lu Suitor, Mary Mcauley, and Hazel Glendenning; and her beloved cat Opie.

The family will have a private ceremony.
