Dolores worked for 25 years at Weingarten Poultry Processing in Hallettsville. Her hobbies included gardening, puzzles and dancing. She kept her yard in a beautiful condition that caused people to come by to see. She was well loved by all who knew her. She loved her family unconditionally and will be greatly missed.

Dolores is survived by: son Daniel Marek & wife Kathy of Van Vleck; 2 daughters, Nancy Marek of Hallettsville, and Gail Harris & husband Laurence of Rosharon; sister Gladys Devall of Hallettsville; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by: husband Edward Sr.; son Edward J. Marek Jr.; parents; and companion Cricket Gutierrez.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Dr. Alan Williams. Pallbearers: Robert Axtell, Virgil Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, Laurence Harris, Kevin Hensley, and Clarence Overgoner. Memorials: St. Peter Lutheran Church or Sublime Zion Lutheran Church. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
