Dennis C. "Denny" Strauss Jr. 57, of Hallettsville, was born December 10, 1964, in Yoakum, TX, to Mary Kathryn Brown and Dennis C. Strauss Sr.  He passed away peacefully on August 13, 2022.  He attended school in Cuero where he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track.  He had a great love for the Texas Aggies.  He was a faithful Hallettsville Brahma fan.  When he couldn't attend the games in person, he listened attentively to them on the radio.  He had a passion for all sports whether if it was professional, college or high school.  Denny also had a great love for animals, especially his best friend "Mitzie."

Denny is survived by:  his mother and father, Kathy and Bobby Brown; brother Jay Brown (Cortney); sister Missy Forman (Jared); stepsisters Kem Calk and Anna Cleveland Coleman; nieces, Leah Forman, Paiten and Kinley Brown; and great nephew Des Forman.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, at Kubena Funeral Home; with Visitation from 9 am to 10:30 am. Pallbearers: Sam Brown, Jay Brown, Michael Harris, Scott Hagan, Jeff Kolos and Jarred Forman. Honorary Pallbearer: Mike Rother. Officiant: Pastor Henry Learn. Memorials: Vienna Baptist Church, Adopt a Pet or a charity of one's choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
