Obituary

David Wayne Cleckley, 47, of Hallettsville, was born on March 3, 1960 in Houston, Texas and returned home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2007. He was a member of Appelt's Hill Gun Club.

He grew up and received his education in Houston where he also attended a trade school to become an auto mechanic, which was one of his true passions. He loved cars of all sorts, classics, hot rods and new cars also. If it had an engine in it, he had a yearning for it.

Through out David's years in life, he also discovered other passions that became true to his heart. They included photography, sketching and painting, playing the drums, jewelry making, as well as collector of Hot Wheels, coins and firearms.

David was a man who loved others unconditionally without expectations. He was a special person born with an ability to touch the hearts of everyone he met. All of us, family, friends and coworkers will carry a love of our own in memory of a great man, David Wayne Cleckley.

David is survived by: mother Jean C. Goad of Hallettsville; sister Julianna Krick of Magnolia, Texas; uncle William Hisle of Plano, Texas; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

David was preceded in death by, grandmother Reginia A. Rips.
